Shake It Out Yoga is a trauma-informed yoga practice that helps release stress and stored emotions from the body.

Unlike traditional yoga that focuses mainly on poses or flexibility, this practice works with the nervous system and the body’s natural ability to discharge stress—often through gentle, instinctive shaking. This process supports the release of tension held deep in the body, including the psoas muscle, where stress and trauma commonly reside.

Private sessions often follow a chakra-by-chakra approach, beginning with the Root chakra and moving upward. Each session combines movement, breathwork, shaking, and energy-based techniques to support balance, awareness, and healing. Clients receive a personalized chakra handout to help continue the work beyond the session.
